Dubai’s ever-evolving skyline welcomes a new jewel: The Lana Dubai, part of the Dorchester Collection. This hotel, poised to redefine luxury experiences in the city, promises an unparalleled blend of sophistication, design, and service. Let’s delve into an honest review, exploring its key aspects and why it’s a property that should be very high on your list and why it has become my new favorite hotel in Dubai.

1. The location
The Lana enjoys a prestigious location in the heart of Dubai, situated along the vibrant Dubai Water Canal. This prime position offers guests breathtaking views of the city’s iconic skyline and the glistening waterway. Its proximity to Downtown Dubai and Business Bay ensures easy access to major attractions, business hubs, and entertainment venues. The location provides a perfect balance of tranquility by the canal and the energetic buzz of the city. While it might not offer immediate beach access, its central location and stunning views more than compensate.
There is significant construction in the surrounding area. While this might not be very attractive, it still shows the potential of the area. There is a really nice promenade right in front of the Lana which you can use already now. I assume in the near future – when more of the surrounding buildings including restaurants, bars etc. are finalized – this will be an amazing benefit of the hotel’s location.
I also like that it’s very close to the Dubai mall where you can get your lunch and/or dinner

The Lana Dubai boasts an impressive array of facilities designed to cater to the most discerning travelers. A state-of-the-art wellness center, complete with a cutting-edge gym and a luxurious spa, provides ample opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation. The hotel features a stunning rooftop pool, offering panoramic views of the city, including the Burj Khalifa. Guests can also expect exclusive access to private lounges and beautifully curated public spaces, designed to foster an atmosphere of refined elegance. The hotel also features many high end boutiques, and curated art pieces. Despite all the luxury, the atmosphere everywhere is welcoming and enjoyable.

3. The rooms
The rooms and suites at The Lana are a testament to contemporary luxury. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, each space exudes sophistication and comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the rooms with natural light, showcasing the stunning Dubai skyline. Expect plush furnishings, state-of-the-art technology, and luxurious amenities, including bespoke toiletries and sumptuous bedding (the pillows are the best I have ever had). The design aesthetic is modern and minimalist, with a focus on creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The suites, in particular, offer expansive living spaces and unparalleled views.

4. The food
The Lana Dubai is set to become a culinary destination in its own right, featuring a collection of world-class restaurants and bars. Expect a diverse range of dining experiences, from fine dining to casual chic, each curated by renowned chefs. The hotel’s culinary offerings will showcase a blend of international flavors and innovative techniques, ensuring a memorable dining experience for every palate. The bars will offer expertly crafted cocktails and a sophisticated ambiance, amazing for evening gatherings. While the rooftop venue “High Society” has the more spectacular setting, my highlight was dining at the lobby restaurant. Service and food were both perfect and for me, the overall experience did exceed my expectations by a lot.

As part of the Dorchester Collection, The Lana Dubai upholds the highest standards of service. Guests can expect personalized attention, impeccable hospitality, and a dedicated team of professionals committed to exceeding expectations. From the moment of arrival, guests are made to feel welcomed and valued. The concierge team is knowledgeable and resourceful, providing expert assistance with reservations, transportation, and local insights. The staff is trained to anticipate guests’ needs, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay. And all of this with a very honest and personal touch.

6. The price
As a newly established luxury hotel in Dubai, The Lana commands a premium price. Room rates and dining experiences reflect the hotel’s commitment to providing an unparalleled level of luxury and service. While the price point may be high, it aligns with the standards of other top-tier hotels in the city. We got lucky and found a very good deal via American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts shortly before our trip. It’s definitely worth to stay flexible and check a few times how prices develop. Our package included breakfast, late check-out, a room upgrade, and a big credit to spend at the hotel.
Taken together, this package represented excellent value. For those seeking an exclusive and indulgent experience, The Lana Dubai is a worthwhile investment.

The Lana is poised to become a landmark destination in Dubai’s luxury hotel scene. Its prime location, stunning design, world-class facilities, and impeccable service make it a compelling choice for discerning travelers. While the price reflects its exclusivity, the experience promises to be truly exceptional. If you are looking for a brand new hotel, with high end design, and a central location, The Lana Dubai is a great option. The service ranks among the best I have experienced worldwide. You truly feel at home and like an extremely valued guest.
However, if you are looking for a hotel with a long established reputation in an already completely developed area, or a budget friendly hotel, this hotel may not be the best choice.
For me, this is my new favorite accommodation in Dubai.
