Men’s fashion is experiencing an exciting revival or exciting times in general. Men are increasingly interested in dressing well and paying attention to their style choices. The growing presence of men’s fashion content on social media provides abundant inspiration for those looking to refine their wardrobe.
I’ve been watching many interesting YouTube videos and Shorts lately that offer excellent style advice for all budgets. However, most of these ideas—while inspiring—don’t align with my personal style preferences or are too occasion-specific.
In my opinion, you should always stay true to yourself when it comes to fashion trends and fancy clothes.
To help you find the best mix between fashionable brands and pieces that basically anyone can wear to many different occasions, I have compiled a list of my top 5 menswear brands right now that exactly serve this purpose.
I have tried to cover various options for different budgets as well as providing a broad range of categories (clothing, shoes and accessories):
Table of Contents
1. Mr P.
Mr P. was founded by Mr Porter and is available on their website. They describe themselves as “… a contemporary menswear brand that empowers you to explore your own style with adaptable, timeless staples” — a description I find both accurate and compelling. It’s one of the main reasons they’re on my list for the best menswear brands right now.
While browsing the Mr Porter app, I consistently find excellent Mr P. alternatives for whatever I’m searching for. Their collection spans a wide range of products, incorporating current trends in a subtle, understated way. While not inexpensive, their prices sit comfortably below typical high-end designer brands, placing them in a “affordable luxury” category. They often offer sustainably produced pieces, which I appreciate, and I’ve been consistently impressed by their quality. Definitely worth a try.
2. NN07
Another brand I discovered on the Mr Porter app (great place for inspiration). They’re one of the more affordable brands on the platform and share a similar concept to Mr P (at least that’S my impression). This Danish brand is available online (linked above) and has retail stores in several cities worldwide.
Their design aesthetic is rather clean and leans toward casual outfits, though many pieces can easily be dressed up for more formal occasions. The brand emphasizes sustainability and – from what I could read – actively works to reduce its environmental impact. Really great choice if you want to add some affordable chic looking basics to your wardrobe.
3. Alo Yoga
Founded in Los Angeles in 2007, Alo has long been on my radar, though I only made my first purchase this year. The brand offers both yoga and general athletic wear, along with pieces suitable for everyday life. I’m particularly impressed by their color selection and the exceptional quality and fit of their items.
Their t-shirts have become my absolute favorites (even surpassing James Perse), and every purchase has exceeded my expectations. While their prices run high for athletic wear, they frequently offer discounts—so you can usually snag items below retail. Though I haven’t yet tried their casual clothing line, I’ve been eyeing their jackets and plan to add one to my collection soon. Overall, Alo is definitely a brand worth investing in right now.
4. Abercrombie & Fitch
I guess everyone knows this brand. They have experienced a quiet renaissance after facing challenges a few years ago. They’ve successfully transformed themselves with a new image, philosophy, and target audience.
A&F offer excellent value for money while maintaining good quality. This is at least my point of view and experience. Their sizing now caters to the average customer rather than their original focus on “young athletic” builds. I have positively perceived their new direction and over the past one or two years purchased numerous basics including polo shirts, dress shirts, and chinos. Overall, I’m really happy with them. And along with affordable essentials, they also offer interesting trend pieces in their collection. Therefore, Abercrombie is perfect for experimenting with your style without directly overspending.
5. Celine Homme
I also wanted to provide one high-end fashion brand and I think, Celine deserves this spot. They mainly have been know for women’s bags and accessories in the past but also gained traction in women’s fashion (again) over the past years.
Nowadays you can see them more and more entering into men’s fashion. I especially like their bags, shoes and boots and their sweatshirts.
As mentioned before, I am a fan of versatile pieces. Celine’s statement logo sweatshirts aren’t just trending—they offer a perfect blend of fashionable statement piece and casual everyday staple. I don’t think there’s currently any other men’s fashion item that achieves this balance quite as well (except perhaps the Loewe puzzle bag).
Their boots are clean, very masculine and timeless.
And their bags might not be as well-known as some of their women’s bestsellers, but the quality is amazing and their design very discreet and easily to combine with most outfits.
If you’re looking to invest in exceptional timeless designer pieces and have the budget for it, I highly recommend checking out Celine.
There you have it! I hope I’ve provided you with a solid range of menswear brands and inspiration for your next purchases. When shopping, be mindful and consider how well each item fits into your existing wardrobe and how versatile it will be over time. When you choose pieces that work well with your other clothes, I’m very sure you will enjoy wearing them even more!
